We hope that everyone has a fun, relaxing, and safe fall break. If there’s time over the break your child can log into Freckle, GetEpic.com, or Biblionasium to log some educational time. Over the past several weeks we have learned about hooking our readers with great introduction sentences, zooming in on and expanding our small moments, giving our reader closure with a great conclusion and how to edit our work for capitalization and punctuation. We will apply what we have learned to writing other small moment pieces. Science: Changes in Matter We will finish up our unit on matter this week by continuing to look at how matter can change from one state to another by heating or cooling the object. Next week we will be moving on to describing how characters in a story respond to major events and challenges. Writing: We are continuing to work on our personal narratives.
