We will be releasing our butterflies on Monday! It has been fun to watch them grow & change! After receiving all the frog permission slips, we used a random name selector to choose who would take Skipper home. Our class frog is now living with Laura at the Slapkus residence! Ms. McCulloch, now Mrs. Tubb, missed field day because she was away for her wedding weekend. However, she was so happy to receive these photos from parents who came out to cheer on the class. Happy -belated- Mother’s Day to all the momma’s out there! I hope your marigolds are continuing to grow and thrive! As part of our life cycles studies, we researched various mammals & wrote our own podcasts about them! The photo above shows us listening to our own podcasts in the Learning Commons. Below are photos of students working in small groups to research & create posters about various birds & their life cycles! It was great to get outdoors & do some prewriting for our non-fiction books! As part of our plant life cycles studies, we have been growing some of our own foods! We finally harvested 1 strawberry & enjoyed sampling it! 🍓 May brought beautiful weather, and we just had to get outside for some learning! Here we are reviewing fractions with chalk.
